Telecom Exploitation Analyst - Cellular Communications Focus Tecore Hanover, MD Job Details 10 hours ago Benefits Paid holidays Disability insurance Health insurance 401(k) Qualifications Digital signal processing Network spectrum analysis Electronics spectrum analysis Cell tower RF testing Systems integration On-site technical support Computer Science Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering 5G Field mapping Mid-level Technical report writing Radio communication systems Analysis skills Research report preparation Spectrum analyzer usage Military intelligence Wireshark Field engineering equipment configuration Data Security (Data management) RF signal diagnostics Intelligence analysis Monitoring system implementation System deployment Simulation tools Radio frequency (RF) testing Network monitoring tools CDMA Electrical Engineering 4 years Full Job Description Key Responsibilities Analyze cellular networks, RF signals, and mobile communication protocols for intelligence exploitation Monitor and interpret data from cellular systems including GSM, CDMA, UMTS, LTE, and 5G Prepare detailed intelligence reports and operational briefings based on technical findings Support integration, deployment, and troubleshooting of cellular monitoring systems in the field Collaborate with internal engineering teams and external stakeholders to ensure mission success Travel to various sites (up to 50%) for system setup, troubleshooting, and operational support Maintain strict adherence to operational security protocols and data handling policies Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field OR 4+ years of military intelligence experience with a strong focus on cellular communications Minimum of 4 years relevant experience in signal intelligence, RF analysis, or cellular systems Solid understanding of mobile network architectures and protocols (GSM, LTE, 5G, etc.) Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to pass a comprehensive background check U.S. Citizenship required Preferred Qualifications Hands-on experience with SIGINT collection platforms or tools Familiarity with mobile device forensics or lawful intercept technologies Experience working on government or defense-related projects Knowledge of spectrum analysis tools and RF propagation Preferred Technical Experience Candidates with experience using or supporting the following tools and platforms will stand out: Signal Analysis & RF Tools Anritsu, Keysight FieldFox, Rohde & Schwarz spectrum analyzers Tektronix and Keysight signal generators or analyzers Direction Finding (DF) systems such as L3Harris or D-Find Software-Defined Radios (SDRs) USRP (Ettus), BladeRF, HackRF, AirSpy, LimeSDR GNU Radio for custom signal processing Cellular Protocol Tools Wireshark (with LTE/5G decoders) srsRAN (srsLTE), OpenAirInterface Qualcomm QXDM for mobile diagnostics Cellular Collection & Simulation IMSI Catchers, Cell Site Simulators (StingRay, Hailstorm, KingFish, Wolfhound) Passive capture systems for live network monitoring Base station emulators: Amarisoft, Rohde & Schwarz CMW500, Anritsu MD8475A Field Mapping and Signal Survey G-NetTrack, CellMapper, or similar tools for signal analysis RF propagation modeling software (e.g., Pathloss, ATDI ICS) Experience with any government off-the-shelf (GOTS) or proprietary cellular intelligence tools is a plus.
