Job Summary:
Come create your career with Volt Volt is immediately hiring an Engineering Tech 2 in Hillsboro, Oregon with an American semiconductor company that designs, manufactures, and supplies radio-frequency systems and solutions for applications that drive wireless and broadband communications, as well as foundry services. As an Eng.
Tech you will:
  • Use manual and automated techniques to characterize RF power amplifier modules using equipment such as signal generators, spectrum analyzers, vector network analyzers, power meters, and a variety of microwave components. Document test procedures and measurement results
  • Configure test equipment setups for various types of specialized RF test methods given general direction and guidance.
  • Collect, validate, and present measurement data. Support design engineers with measurement requests. Determine requirements, formulate instructions, collect data, and present results. Troubleshoot and maintain automated test systems (PC controlled) using custom and off-the-shelf software and test equipment.
  • Using micro-probes under a microscope, measure in-circuit S-parameters and validate results.
  • Assemble and modify microelectronic semiconductor devices according to drawings and specifications using die attach, small surface mount attachment, and flip-chip bonding, working under a microscope.
This is a Full Time/Contract opportunity.
The ideal candidate will have:
  • Associate's degree in technical field or equivalent military training. Possess 3-5+ years' experience in RF test, including power amplifier and semiconductor test in a design characterization environment preferred not required.
  • Working knowledge of RF circuits and transmission lines preferred. Proficiency in use of the following equipment: RF signal generator, spectrum analyzer, vector network analyzer, power meter, DC power supply, oscilloscope, and other microwave components.
  • Proficiency in use of Excel or other data processing and presentation tools.
Excellent organization skills, plus good verbal and written communication skills. The successful candidate will be organized, a self-starter, results-oriented, with the ability to work both as a team member and independently.
Pay Rate:
$32 - $35 per hour This is a first shift position.
  • Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
