ASAP Job Overview We are seeking a hands-on and mechanically inclined Refrigeration Lab Technician to support laboratory development, testing, and data collection efforts at a semiconductor facility in Lake Forest, CA . This position will focus heavily on collecting thermal data for semiconductor devices utilizing refrigeration equipment . The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with refrigeration systems, strong mechanical aptitude, and the troubleshooting skills necessary to assemble, operate, and resolve issues with laboratory test setups. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on technical work, problem-solving, and working with test equipment in a laboratory environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Support laboratory development and data collection efforts involving semiconductor devices. Operate and work with refrigeration systems and related equipment used for thermal testing. Assemble and configure mechanical and laboratory test setups. Execute detailed, step-by-step test procedures and instructions. Collect and record temperature, pressure, load, and time-based test data. Work with temperature measurement equipment, including thermocouples and temperature sensors . Assist with pressure sensors, load cell sensors, and other instrumentation as required. Troubleshoot test setups and equipment when systems are not functioning as expected. Identify potential mechanical or equipment-related problems and assist in implementing solutions. Accurately document test results, observations, and other relevant data. Maintain organized and complete testing documentation. Work closely with engineering and laboratory personnel to support ongoing development and testing efforts. Perform other related laboratory and technical duties as assigned. Qualifications Knowledge of and/or hands-on experience with refrigeration systems is strongly preferred. Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to assemble and modify test setups. Comfortable working hands-on with tools, equipment, components, and instrumentation. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities. Ability to carefully follow detailed, step-by-step testing procedures. Experience collecting, recording, and documenting technical data. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with engineering and laboratory personnel. Dependable and able to maintain an accurate and consistent approach to testing. Preferred Experience Experience or familiarity with any of the following is a plus: Refrigeration equipment and systems Semiconductor testing or semiconductor manufacturing environments Thermal testing Thermocouples and temperature sensors Pressure sensors Load cell sensors Laboratory instrumentation Mechanical test fixtures and setups Technical test documentation and data collection Compensation & Employment $25.00-$32.00 per hour, depending on experience Full-time schedule: Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM-5:00 PM Contract-to-hire opportunity Position available to start ASAP Upon successful completion of the contract period and conversion to direct employment, employees will be eligible for the company's full benefits package .
