Chroma - 3.9 Riverside, CA Job Details Part-time $25 - $30 an hour 3 hours ago Benefits Fuel card Opportunities for advancement Qualifications Report preparation Spanish Customer communication EPA Refrigeration Certification English Technical report writing Driver's License Mechanical troubleshooting Full Job Description Job Overview Commercial Refrigeration Technician We are seeking an experienced and dependable Commercial Refrigeration Technician to diagnose, repair, maintain, and install refrigeration equipment for restaurants and commercial properties throughout Southern California. The technician will be responsible for completing service calls independently, identifying equipment failures, explaining recommended repairs, and restoring equipment to proper operating condition.
Responsibilities:
Diagnose and repair walk-in coolers and freezers Service reach-in refrigerators and freezers Repair ice machines and restaurant refrigeration equipment Troubleshoot compressors, condensers, evaporators, fan motors, thermostats, relays, contactors, and electrical controls Locate refrigerant leaks and perform approved repairs Recover, evacuate, recharge, and test refrigeration systems Perform brazing, pressure testing, and preventative maintenance Read electrical diagrams and use diagnostic tools Document the work performed, materials used, and recommended repairs Communicate professionally with customers and company management Keep the service vehicle, tools, and work areas clean and organized Participate in emergency and after-hours service when scheduled
Qualifications:
Commercial refrigeration or HVAC/R experience Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting ability Experience working with restaurant refrigeration equipment preferred EPA Section 608 certification preferred Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record Ability to lift equipment, climb ladders, and work in hot or cold environments Must be dependable, punctual, honest, and professional Must be able to work independently and complete service calls efficiently Basic English communication and service-report writing skills required Bilingual English and Spanish is a plus
Compensation:
$32-$45 per hour, depending on experience, certifications, and demonstrated ability. Company vehicle, fuel card, tools, overtime, training, and advancement opportunities may be provided based on the position.
Service Area:
Inland Empire and surrounding Southern California areas.
Pay:
$25.00 - $30.00 per hour
