CoolSys is seeking a Journeyman Refrigeration Technician to install, service, and maintain commercial and industrial HVAC-R systems for retail, warehouse, and mission-critical facilities. You'll troubleshoot complex rack systems, freezers, coolers, and controls while ensuring safety, energy efficiency, and reliability. Work includes preventative maintenance, emergency repairs, startup and commissioning, and occasional retrofit projects. Responsibilities Install, service, and maintain commercial and industrial refrigeration and HVAC-R systems Troubleshoot and repair rack systems, freezers, coolers, and related controls Perform preventative maintenance and system inspections to ensure reliability and efficiency Respond to emergency service calls and diagnose complex mechanical and electrical issues Start up, commission, and support retrofit or upgrade projects for refrigeration systems Follow all safety procedures, including lockout/tagout and proper refrigerant handling Document work performed, parts used, and recommendations in service reports Collaborate with team members, dispatch, and customers to schedule and complete work efficiently Support energy-optimization initiatives and recommend system improvements Participate in ongoing technical training and certifications to maintain journeyman-level skills Required Skills Commercial refrigeration repair Industrial refrigeration systems HVAC-R diagnostics Rack systems and compressors Electrical and controls troubleshooting Brazing and piping Preventative maintenance Reading blueprints and schematics EPA refrigerant handling Safety and lockout/tagout
