In this energetic role, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and installing complex refrigeration and mechanical systems across various facilities. Your expertise will ensure optimal performance of HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning), refrigeration, and related mechanical systems, contributing to a safe, efficient, and comfortable environment. Duties Perform installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of refrigeration systems, HVAC equipment, boilers, air conditioning units, and mechanical systems using schematics and technical manuals. Diagnose electrical issues through electrical diagnostics tools such as ohmmeters and troubleshoot electrical systems within HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning / Refrigeration) equipment. Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure system reliability and efficiency. Utilize hand tools and specialized equipment to repair or replace components in refrigeration and HVAC systems. Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, building automation systems (BAS), and HVAC design plans to execute precise repairs or installations. Collaborate with team members on HVAC system installation projects, ensuring compliance with safety standards and building codes. Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients about system status, repairs needed, or upgrades required. Requirements Proven construction experience with mechanical systems repair and HVAC system installation. Service technician experience in refrigeration or HVAC environments preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge of refrigeration cycles, HVAC design principles, plumbing systems, electrical diagnostics, and building automation systems. Ability to read schematics accurately and troubleshoot complex equipment issues efficiently. Proficiency with hand tools, electrical testing devices such as ohmmeters, and other diagnostic equipment. Valid EPA certification for refrigerant handling; additional certifications in HVAC/R are advantageous. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose equipment faults quickly and accurately. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; must be comfortable operating driver vehicles if required. Strong customer service orientation with effective communication skills to interact professionally with clients and team members alike.
