We are seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance & Refrigeration Technician to support our food manufacturing operation. This position is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance on production equipment, packaging machinery, refrigeration systems, and facility equipment. Weekend availability is required. Our production operation runs Monday through Saturday, and Sundays are dedicated primarily to preventative maintenance and repairs while production equipment is not in operation. The regular schedule for this position will be Wednesday through Sunday . Essential Duties and Responsibilities Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on production, processing, and packaging equipment. Perform scheduled Sunday preventative maintenance , inspections, repairs, and equipment servicing. Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and automated equipment. Diagnose equipment failures and complete repairs in a timely manner to minimize production downtime. Maintain and repair refrigeration equipment, including coolers, freezers, compressors, evaporators, condensers, and walk-in systems. Troubleshoot refrigeration, electrical, and automation/control systems. Inspect equipment and identify potential problems before they result in equipment failure or downtime. Read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, service manuals, P&IDs, and equipment documentation. Perform maintenance on motors, pumps, conveyors, packaging equipment, material-handling equipment, and other production machinery. Use hand tools, power tools, electrical meters, diagnostic equipment, and other maintenance tools safely. Complete maintenance work orders and accurately document repairs, preventative maintenance, parts used, and other required information. Assist with maintaining an appropriate inventory of maintenance parts and supplies. Respond to equipment breakdowns and emergency repairs as needed. Follow Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), PPE, chemical handling, confined-space, fall-protection, and other applicable safety procedures. Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and all food safety and sanitation requirements. Maintain maintenance work areas in a clean, sanitary, and safe condition. Report food safety, equipment safety, or product-quality concerns to management immediately. Perform additional maintenance-related duties as assigned by the Maintenance Manager. Qualifications & Experience High school diploma or equivalent required. Technical training, trade-school certification, or degree in Industrial Maintenance, Refrigeration, Electrical Technology, or a related field preferred. Previous industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment required; food manufacturing experience strongly preferred. Experience troubleshooting and repairing mechanical and electrical equipment. Working knowledge of industrial electrical systems, motors, controls, hydraulics, and pneumatics. Experience with PLCs, HMI systems, sensors, and automated equipment preferred. Experience with commercial or industrial refrigeration systems strongly preferred. EPA Section 608 Universal Technician Certification preferred. Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and determine appropriate corrective actions when equipment problems are identified. English/Spanish bilingual ability preferred. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to bend, kneel, reach, climb, and work around industrial equipment. Ability to frequently use hands and tools while performing repairs. Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds . Ability to work in areas that may be wet, humid, hot, cold, or noisy. Ability to safely work around moving mechanical equipment.

Schedule & Availability Regular Schedule:

Wednesday through Sunday Candidates must be available to work Saturdays and Sundays . Sunday is an important part of this position because it allows the Maintenance Department to complete preventative maintenance, inspections, repairs, and equipment servicing while production equipment is not operating. Some overtime, schedule flexibility, or emergency maintenance may occasionally be required based on operational needs.

Pay:

$26.00 - $30.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
