R.E. Garrison Trucking, Inc. is seeking a skilled Transport Refrigeration Technician to join our esteemed Technical & Maintenance team. This role is critical for ensuring the functionality and reliability of refrigeration units on our transport vehicles, supporting our commitment to delivering superior service in the transportation and logistics industry. As a Refrigeration Technician, you will handle the maintenance, repair, and operational testing of refrigerated units used in trucking transport to ensure cargo is transported under optimal conditions. Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance and emergency repairs on refrigeration units. Diagnose mechanical and electrical problems in refrigeration systems. Replace or repair faulty components in transport refrigeration units. Conduct regular inspections of refrigeration systems for compliance with safety and environmental regulations. Collaborate with fleet management to record and manage maintenance schedules. Ensure proper documentation of all repair and maintenance work. Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies relevant to transport refrigeration systems. Required Skills Profound knowledge of refrigeration units and systems, specifically in transport settings. Ability to diagnose and fix mechanical and electrical issues. Proficient in the use of hand tools and diagnostic equipment. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Effective communication skills for interacting with team members and documenting maintenance processes.
