CoolSys, a leader in sustainable HVACR solutions, is seeking a Refrigeration Foreman for our Engineering, Maintenance & Asset Management department. In this role, you'll lead field teams in installation, maintenance, and repair of commercial and industrial refrigeration systems, ensuring quality, safety, and efficiency. You'll coordinate schedules, oversee troubleshooting, and support energy-efficient solutions for clients. Responsibilities Lead and supervise refrigeration technicians on commercial and industrial HVACR projects from planning through completion. Coordinate daily work assignments, schedules, and resources to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality project execution. Perform advanced installation, startup, troubleshooting, and repair of commercial and industrial refrigeration and HVAC systems. Interpret construction drawings, piping diagrams, and electrical schematics to guide installation and maintenance activities. Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and company safety standards, conducting toolbox talks and enforcing safe work practices. Oversee refrigerant handling, including recovery, evacuation, charging, and leak detection in accordance with EPA regulations. Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and asset management teams to support system design, upgrades, and life-cycle planning. Inspect completed work to verify quality, functionality, and adherence to specifications and codes, resolving issues as needed. Interface with customers on-site to communicate job status, findings, recommendations, and energy-efficiency opportunities. Train, mentor, and evaluate junior technicians, providing technical guidance and performance feedback. Assist with estimating labor and materials, documenting work performed, and preparing technical service and project reports.
