In this pivotal role, you will oversee the maintenance, repair, and installation of refrigeration systems, HVAC equipment, and related mechanical components across various properties. Your expertise will ensure optimal performance, safety, and compliance while fostering a proactive service environment. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your technical mastery and leadership skills in a fast-paced, service-oriented setting. Duties Supervise and coordinate all refrigeration, HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical maintenance activities across multiple sites. Diagnose complex refrigeration systems, including ammonia refrigeration and HVAC/R units, utilizing schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters. Lead field service operations by troubleshooting equipment failures, performing repairs, and conducting routine preventative maintenance to minimize downtime. Oversee installation projects involving HVAC design, ductwork, boiler systems, and appliance repair to ensure adherence to safety standards and specifications. Manage inventory of parts and tools required for equipment repair and maintenance activities; order supplies as needed. Train and mentor technicians on system operation, schematics interpretation, welding techniques, and safety procedures. Maintain detailed records of all service activities, inspections, repairs, and compliance documentation for regulatory audits. Ensure all work complies with property maintenance standards and local codes related to refrigeration, HVAC/R systems, plumbing, and electrical safety. Experience Proven experience in construction-related environments with a strong background in service technician roles specializing in refrigeration (including ammonia systems), HVAC design, plumbing, and mechanical systems. Extensive field service experience with hands-on repair of air conditioning units, boilers, appliances, and equipment involving complex schematics interpretation. Demonstrated knowledge of HVAC/R systems operation including troubleshooting using tools like ohmmeters; familiarity with equipment repair techniques such as welding is preferred. Mechanical knowledge encompassing boiler systems, property maintenance practices, and appliance repair is essential. Prior experience managing or supervising technical teams in property or facility maintenance settings is highly desirable. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience operating drivers or similar vehicles preferred.
