Job Description

Employment Type:
Full Time I Day Shift. Responsibilities Diagnose and troubleshoot refrigeration systems, HVAC units, electrical systems, and mechanical equipment using schematics, electrical diagnostics tools such as ohmmeters, and mechanical knowledge. Perform installation, maintenance, repair, and upgrade of refrigeration equipment including ammonia refrigeration systems and HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/ Refrigeration) units. Conduct system inspections to identify issues related to plumbing, electrical wiring, building automation systems, boilers, air conditioning units, and other mechanical systems. Utilize hand tools and welding equipment to repair or replace damaged components ensuring safety standards are met. Interpret technical schematics and HVAC design plans to execute precise system installations or modifications aligned with client specifications. Provide exceptional customer service by explaining technical issues clearly and recommending effective solutions for ongoing system performance. Maintain detailed accurate service reports, logs of repairs performed, parts used, and system conditions for accountability and future reference. Communicate clearly with dispatch and Supervior. Respond to service calls across Treasure Valley Requirements 5+ years of refrigeration experience & Journeyman card required. Proven experience as a service technician with construction experience preferred; familiarity with commercial refrigeration or HVAC system repair essential. Strong mechanical knowledge including HVAC system installation, maintenance, troubleshooting of refrigeration units (including ammonia refrigeration), boilers, and electrical diagnostics. Ability to read schematics and HVAC design plans accurately; experience with building automation systems is a plus. Skilled in the use of hand tools, welding equipment, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic tools required for equipment repair. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; commercial driver's license (CDL) or driver certification is advantageous. Certifications such as EPA refrigerant handling certification required; additional certifications in HVAC/R or appliance repair are highly desirable. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently in field service environments while maintaining high safety standards. Strong communication skills combined with a customer-focused approach to service delivery. Respond to service calls across Treasure Valley and surrounding regions (North- McCall, Eastern Idaho
