The ideal Refrigeration Technician candidate will bring a minimum 7 years experience with all of the following: Industrial Refrigeration with Coolers, Freezers, Cold Storage, Ice Machines, HVAC. Prior experience should be in Water Cooled & Air Cooled refrigeration systems using R-717 (Ammonia), R-744 (CO2), CFCs, HCFCs, HFCs including High Voltage 480, 208-240, 120, 3 phase & 1 phase, Low Voltage 12-24, Soft Starters, VFD's (Variable Frequency Drives), evaporators, condensing units, condensers, cooling towers, evaporative condensers, compressors, heat exchangers, pumps, motors. copper tubing, steel piping, stainless steel piping, press fitting, brazing & soldering. Along with experience with Reclaiming Refrigerants, Performing Vacuum on systems to 500 microns, Pressure testing systems with Nitrogen & Charging systems. The Technician would be expected to diagnose issues as well install and service. Duties Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain marine and industrial refrigeration systems, ensuring optimal performance. Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and building automation system diagrams for accurate diagnostics. Perform HVAC system repairs including air conditioning units, boilers, and ventilation systems. Conduct electrical diagnostics utilizing hand tools such as ohmmeters to identify faults in electrical systems. Execute plumbing tasks related to refrigeration units and HVAC equipment to ensure proper water flow and drainage. Maintain mechanical systems by replacing worn parts, adjusting components, and performing routine inspections. Diagnose equipment issues through systematic troubleshooting techniques to minimize downtime. Support HVAC system installation projects by coordinating with construction teams and adhering to safety protocols. Utilize field service experience to deliver prompt customer service responses in diverse environments. Conduct preventive maintenance on refrigeration units, HVAC systems, building automation controls, and related mechanical equipment. Comply with EPA regulations concerning refrigerant handling procedures during servicing or repairs. Use hand tools and diagnostic equipment effectively for equipment repair and maintenance tasks. Assist in property maintenance activities related to HVAC/R equipment to ensure safety standards are met.
