Position Overview:
Parameter Generation is seeking a skilled Refrigeration Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing refrigeration and cooling systems to ensure optimal performance, efficiency, and safety. This role requires hands-on mechanical aptitude, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
Install, inspect, and maintain commercial and industrial refrigeration systems, including compressors, condensers, evaporators, and control panels. Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant system issues. Perform preventative maintenance to ensure refrigeration units operate efficiently and reduce downtime. Monitor system performance and make adjustments to maintain proper temperature control and compliance with operational standards. Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and inspections. Ensure compliance with all safety protocols, including proper handling of refrigerants and personal protective equipment (PPE). Assist with training team members on safe and efficient refrigeration practices as needed.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required; technical school or HVAC/refrigeration certification preferred. Proven experience as a refrigeration technician or in a similar mechanical role. Strong troubleshooting, mechanical, and electrical skills. Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals. Proficiency with refrigeration tools, meters, gauges, and diagnostic equipment. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work in confined spaces, and stand or kneel for extended periods. Strong attention to detail, safety-conscious, and dependable.
Physical Requirements:
Frequent lifting, bending, climbing ladders, and working in cold environments. Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
