This energetic role requires a proactive approach to diagnosing issues, executing precise repairs, and ensuring optimal system performance across diverse property types. As a master technician, you will leverage your extensive mechanical knowledge and technical expertise to deliver exceptional service while adhering to safety standards and industry regulations. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive HVAC system installations, including ductwork, equipment setup, and integration with building automation systems. Troubleshoot and repair HVAC/R systems, refrigeration units, boilers, electrical systems, and plumbing components with precision using schematics and technical manuals. Conduct electrical diagnostics utilizing tools such as ohmmeters to identify faults in electrical circuits and control systems. Diagnose mechanical issues in equipment like compressors, fans, pumps, and weld or replace mechanical components as needed. Maintain detailed service records, complete shift reports, and document all repairs or system modifications for compliance and quality assurance. Provide exceptional customer service by explaining system issues clearly and recommending appropriate solutions to clients. Ensure all work complies with EPA regulations for refrigerants and safety standards for handling ammonia refrigeration or other hazardous materials. Requirements Valid Master HVAC license with extensive experience in construction, service technician roles, or property maintenance. Proven expertise in HVAC system repair, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of mechanical systems. Strong knowledge of schematics, HVAC design principles, building automation systems, electrical diagnostics, and refrigeration technology. Hands-on experience with hand tools, welding equipment, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic instruments necessary for equipment repair. Ability to read technical drawings accurately and interpret complex schematics for system troubleshooting. Mechanical knowledge of boilers, ammonia refrigeration systems (HVAC/R), electrical systems, plumbing connections, and appliance repair. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; ability to operate a driver vehicle safely. Certifications such as EPA refrigerant handling certification are required; additional licenses related to HVAC/R are preferred. Prior experience working with building automation systems or electrical systems is highly desirable.
