$40-$50/hour based on experience Full-time position with consistent year-round work Monday-Friday schedule with participation in the on-call rotation Overtime opportunities available Medical Insurance Paid Time Off Reimbursement program Retirement Plan Company Vehicle Company Cell Phone Fuel Card Family-owned and operated company with more than 20 years of service throughout Northern and Central New Jersey Why You'll Love It Here Work for a company that prioritizes quality repairs and long-term customer relationships over rushing through service calls Join a team with a strong reputation for professionalism, integrity, and technical excellence Work independently and be trusted to make informed decisions in the field Gain exposure to a wide variety of commercial refrigeration and HVAC equipment Be part of a growing company with a steady customer base and increasing demand Collaborate with experienced professionals who value accountability and craftsmanship Build a long-term career with a company committed to investing in skilled technicians Your New Role Perform diagnostics, maintenance, service, repair, and replacement of commercial refrigeration equipment in Oak Ridge, New Jersey, and throughout Northern and Central New Jersey Troubleshoot and repair walk-in coolers, walk-in freezers, reach-in coolers, reach-in freezers, and ice machines Complete commercial refrigeration installations and equipment replacements Service commercial HVAC systems including rooftop units, split systems, heat systems, ductless systems, VAV systems, and VRV systems as needed Identify root causes of equipment failures and implement effective repair solutions Perform preventative maintenance inspections and recommend corrective actions Maintain accurate service records and clearly communicate findings with customers and management Deliver professional customer service while representing Climate Care in the field Follow all safety standards, refrigeration regulations, and industry best practices Participate in the on-call rotation and respond to emergency service needs when scheduled
Hiring Expectations:
Apply today, complete a quick phone screening, and get ready for an interview with our team to discuss your goals and experience. 6-10+ years of commercial refrigeration service experience Strong experience troubleshooting, servicing, repairing, and replacing commercial refrigeration systems Experience working on walk-in coolers, walk-in freezers, reach-in refrigeration equipment, and ice machines Knowledge of commercial HVAC systems, controls, compressors, condensers, evaporators, and mechanical components EPA Type I, II, and III Certification required Valid driver's license required Ability to work independently with minimal training or supervision Strong diagnostic, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills Ability to manage service calls efficiently and maintain professionalism with customers Ability to lift equipment and materials required for the position Ability to work in mechanical rooms, on rooftops, and in commercial environments Vocational training preferred Stable work history demonstrating reliability, accountability, and professionalism Climate Care is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
