Job Description
Job Overview We are on the lookout for a skilled and proactive Senior Maintenance Technician specializing in Industrial Refrigeration and Controls. In this role, you'll be the go-to expert for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing complex refrigeration systems and building automation controls. Your hands-on mechanical and electrical expertise will keep our facilities running smoothly, ensuring optimal performance and safety. Responsibilities Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on industrial refrigeration systems, including ammonia refrigeration units. Troubleshoot electrical diagnostics, control systems, schematics, and mechanical components to identify issues quickly and accurately. Repair HVAC systems, boilers, plumbing, and other mechanical systems to ensure continuous operation. Install new HVAC/R equipment, building automation systems, and electrical systems following industry standards and safety protocols. Use hand tools, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic equipment to diagnose faults and execute effective repairs. Maintain detailed documentation of maintenance activities, repairs performed, and system performance reports. Collaborate with property management teams to ensure compliance with EPA regulations (including refrigerant handling) and safety standards. Skills Extensive construction experience combined with service technician background in HVAC/R systems. Strong knowledge of schematics, HVAC design principles, plumbing, electrical diagnostics, and equipment troubleshooting. Proficiency in refrigeration systems—including ammonia refrigeration—and mechanical knowledge of HVAC system repair. Skilled in HVAC system installation and maintenance as well as appliance repair related to property maintenance. Familiarity with building automation systems (BAS), electrical systems, boilers, air conditioning units, and related mechanical systems. Ability to operate hand tools effectively along with diagnostic instruments like ohmmeters for precise troubleshooting. Valid driver's license (including driver if applicable) with a clean driving record preferred.
