The (USA) Technician, Facility Services, HVAC-Refrigeration is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC and refrigeration systems in commercial and industrial settings. This role involves interpreting technical schematics, diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations. The Technician supports preventive maintenance programs, leads field teams, and communicates effectively with customers and management. Operating company vehicles and participating in on-call rotations are essential. This position requires adherence to established protocols while contributing to continuous improvement and operational excellence within facility services.

The Facility Services team ensures the efficient operation and maintenance of HVAC and refrigeration systems across Walmart locations. They perform preventive maintenance, repairs, and safety compliance while coordinating with management and service providers to prioritize tasks effectively. Utilizing technical expertise, the team troubleshoots equipment issues and maintains accurate records and inventory. What you'll do: Install, configure, and calibrate HVAC and refrigeration systems, including ductwork and control panels, ensuring compliance with building codes. Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant-related issues in commercial and industrial equipment. Perform preventive maintenance and routine inspections to optimize system performance and extend equipment life. Maintain refrigeration units such as racks, walk-ins, and reach-ins, adhering to EPA 608 refrigerant handling protocols. Lead and mentor field teams on technical procedures and safety standards. Manage service calls, documentation, and coordinate with external providers as needed. Operate company vehicles safely to complete service assignments within assigned regions. What you'll bring: Proven experience installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC and refrigeration systems in commercial or industrial settings. Ability to interpret layout plans, schematics, and building codes to ensure accurate system configuration and compliance. Skilled in diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant-related issues and implementing preventive maintenance programs. Knowledge of OSHA standards and EPA 608 refrigerant handling protocols. Competence in operating heavy machinery and company vehicles safely and responsibly. Strong communication skills to effectively explain technical issues and collaborate with team members and customers. Capability to lead and mentor less-experienced technicians and manage escalated service issues.
