ASAP Position Summary:

My client is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Technician with experience maintaining commercial and industrial refrigeration systems in a food processing or industrial environment. This role is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and performing preventive maintenance on ammonia and Freon refrigeration equipment to support safe and reliable plant operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain ammonia refrigeration systems, including compressors, evaporators, condensers, and related components. Service and maintain Freon refrigeration systems used in plant and truck refrigeration applications. Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on refrigeration and cooling equipment. Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues affecting refrigeration performance. Inspect compressors, motors, valves, pumps, controls, and piping systems. Respond to refrigeration breakdowns and minimize equipment downtime. Maintain accurate maintenance records and work orders. Follow all plant safety, food safety, and environmental procedures.

Qualifications:

Experience maintaining commercial or industrial refrigeration systems. Working knowledge of ammonia compressors, evaporators, and refrigeration controls. Experience with Freon compressors and truck refrigeration systems preferred. Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills. Ability to read basic schematics and technical manuals. Experience in food processing, meat packing, cold storage, or industrial manufacturing is a plus.

Preferred:

Ammonia refrigeration certification or operator experience. EPA refrigeration certification. Experience with preventive maintenance programs and CMMS systems.

INDUS Pay:

$30.00 - $40.00 per hour
