Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dynamic and experienced HVAC Service Manager to lead our heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) service operations. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of HVAC system maintenance, repair, and installation projects. Your expertise will ensure the delivery of high-quality service to our clients while maintaining safety standards and operational efficiency. This position offers an exciting opportunity to drive technical excellence and foster strong customer relationships in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Lead and supervise a team of service technicians, ensuring efficient scheduling, task delegation, and performance management. Oversee HVAC system repairs, troubleshooting equipment issues using schematics, electrical diagnostics, ohmmeters, and other hand tools. Manage HVAC system installations, including ductwork, refrigeration units, boilers, air conditioning systems, and building automation systems. Ensure all work complies with safety regulations such as EPA standards and electrical codes; promote a culture of safety across all operations. Collaborate with clients to assess their HVAC needs; provide expert guidance on system design, maintenance plans, and upgrades. Maintain detailed records of service activities, equipment repairs, maintenance schedules, and parts inventory. Stay current with industry advancements in HVAC/R technology, refrigeration systems including ammonia refrigeration, plumbing connections, and mechanical systems repair. Experience Proven experience in construction or mechanical trades with a focus on HVAC service technician roles. Extensive knowledge of HVAC system repair, installation, and maintenance procedures. Strong understanding of schematics, mechanical systems repair, electrical diagnostics, and building automation systems. Hands-on experience with refrigeration systems—including ammonia refrigeration—and boiler operation is highly desirable. Familiarity with electrical systems troubleshooting using tools like ohmmeters; ability to read technical schematics accurately. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience operating driver vehicles preferred. Certifications such as EPA refrigerant handling certification are required; additional certifications in HVAC/R or electrical systems are advantageous. Pay:
$70,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
