What You'll Do Lead the installation, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of commercial refrigeration and HVAC/R systems. Diagnose compressors, refrigeration circuits, electrical controls, motors, defrost systems, ice machines, walk-in coolers, walk-in freezers, and related equipment. Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, technical manuals, and equipment specifications. Perform accurate electrical and mechanical diagnostics using meters, gauges, and other industry-standard tools. Mentor and assist junior technicians with troubleshooting, proper procedures, and safe work practices. Conduct system inspections and ensure work complies with EPA requirements, manufacturer specifications, and applicable codes. Communicate professionally with customers, clearly explain equipment problems, and recommend practical repair or replacement solutions. Complete detailed service records, inspection reports, refrigerant documentation, and maintenance logs. Help improve company procedures, technician training, efficiency, and customer service. Take ownership of assigned jobs from diagnosis through successful completion. What We're Looking For Strong commercial refrigeration and HVAC/R service experience. Advanced troubleshooting ability with refrigeration, electrical, and mechanical systems. Experience servicing walk-in coolers and freezers, reach-ins, ice machines, commercial HVAC equipment, and related controls. Ability to read electrical diagrams, schematics, and technical documentation. Working knowledge of compressors, refrigerant circuits, defrost controls, motors, contactors, relays, sensors, and building controls. EPA Universal Certification required. Additional HVAC/R licenses and certifications are a plus. Strong leadership skills and a willingness to train and support other technicians. Professional communication and customer-service skills.
