Hourly rate commensurate with experience About the Role The Senior Refrigeration Technician is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of commercial refrigeration systems—with a primary focus on specialized soft-serve machines, walk-in coolers, and ice machines—while maintaining a conscientious and superior level of customer service.

What You'll Do:

System Diagnostics:

Diagnose complex system issues, including electrical troubleshooting, refrigerant leak detection, and airflow problems.

Estimating & Quoting:

Quoting system replacements as well as repair and maintenance prices.

Documentation:

Electronically recording labor, parts, etc. for work orders and maintaining accurate timecard keeping.

Inventory & Asset Management:

Maintain cleanliness and organization of company vehicle and company provided tools. Responsible for maintaining truck stock and ordering correct parts and materials for jobs.

Mentorship:

Assist in the training of helpers/apprentices.

Communication:

Communicate effectively and professionally with customers as well as with office staff.

Administration:

Collect payments from customers and turn in to Accounts Receivable.

Scheduling:

Being part of the on-call rotation (7 days on call - including weekends) and working out of town as needed.

General:

Other duties as assigned by manager.

What You'll Need:

High School diploma or equivalent EPA Section 608 Universal Certification Expert understanding of refrigeration cycles, refrigerants, electrical schematics, and commercial refrigeration components 10+ years of experience Expert level of verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English fluently Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Ability to work in a team environment Ability to use significant independent judgment Excellent time management skills Proficient in

Microsoft Office Products Working Conditions:

Must work under hazardous conditions including high places, chemical exposures, electrical current, blood exposure, and moving machinery. Can work both inside and outside. Subject to weather. Ability to operate in an open work area with moderate everyday noise. Ability to remain in work area beyond normal working hours.

Physical Requirements:

Moderate work; exerts up to 75lbs. force frequently and up to 100lbs occasionally. Occasional stooping, kneeling, and crouching
