Service Tech - Propane Full-Time About Freedom Ag & Energy Freedom Ag & Energy is a farmer-owned cooperative serving communities across Virginia, West Virginia, and Maryland. We provide agricultural products, home and garden supplies, pet and animal health products, outdoor recreation items, and a rapidly growing energy division serving both residential and commercial customers. Position Summary We are seeking a technician to perform installation, maintenance, and repair of residential propane systems such as fireplaces, wall mounted heaters, single room heaters and appliances conversions Key Responsibilities Customer Service

• Provide maintenance of residential propone systems
• Effectively interpret electrical and mechanical blueprints, specifications, to perform installations and repair equipment
• Gather information to diagnose malfunctions and troubleshoot systems
• Be able to handle and lift canisters into truck utilize load hose, meters, gauges, and terminal controls for bulk fuel loading Customer Service
• Provide usage instructions for all equipment and appliances serviced
• Review account details, collect payments and confirm future service with customers
• Strive to grow and maintain FAE market share through excellent service and customer referrals. Safety & Compliance
• Follow all company safety procedures as to not cause harm to yourself, customers, co-workers, equipment, or inventory
• Utilize Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required
• Operate all equipment according to FAE policy and government regulations. Comply with OSHA regulations, work rules and policies Qualifications Required

Education:

Requires a High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).

Experience:

Requires two (2) or more years of experience with installation and repair of propane heating systems, equipment and appliances.

Licenses:

Licensing requirements vary by location and are based on state/federal regulations .

• Requires Petroleum and/or Propane Certification (or ability to obtain)

Employee Discount Pay:

$20.00 - $30.00 per hour
