Join Our Team at Blue Bird, Inc., We are currently seeking a Refrigeration Technician Level III to join our operations team in Peshastin, WA. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a dedicated team in a fast-paced, environment.

This position requires 5 + years of work experience
Hours & Workdays:
7:00 am•4:30 pm, Monday•Friday; may vary depending on harvest and production needs. This may require on call duty as well as overtime hours. This position will require a safety sensitive requirements and a fit test/breathing test.
Job Summary:
Under the direction of the Refrigeration Engineer or Technician's operates repairs and maintains the refrigeration equipment at all controlled atmosphere (CA) and regular storage plants. Provides for the optimum storage conditions of all fruit in storage.
Essential Functions:
Operates and maintains the refrigeration and CA equipment. Reads, records and maintains the temperatures, CO2, O2 and when the rooms are sealed and opened and the condition of the fruit. Will be responsible for day to day operations of cold rooms and equipment. Operations of multiple Refrigeration Machine rooms Monitoring and tracking all documentation of CA and Refrigeration records. Basic Knowledge of PSM Program (process safety management) Scheduling of all repairs and maintenance of the equipment. Maintaining the water treatment systems. Other duties may encompass other than the duties listed. Knowledge of Controlled Atmosphere. Knowledge of Refrigeration system and their operations Required to wear SCBA gear while performing job functions. Computer skills preferred Must NOT be afraid of height (ability to climb ladders and long flights of stairs). Required to use man and Arial lifts. Ability to read, write and speak English preferred. Must be flexible with work schedule for Harvest (Cherries/Pears/Apples) and on call duty requirements. Ability to work independently and follow detailed instructions. Knowledge of electrical equipment and controls. At least 1 year of mechanical skills preferred. A valid Washington State Driver's License, a good driving record, and own your vehicle for reliable transportation
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to work in an environment that has some dust, fumes and chemicals in the air and occasionally work in area where the environment is somewhat cool and wet. Must be able to pass annual qualitative respirator fit test and approved for SCBA (Self Contained Breathing Apparatus) and personal protective gear to pull fruit samples and respond to emergency situations Must have ability to lift 50 pound box waist high to pull fruit samples. Be able to climb a ladder of 12' to seal off refrigerated rooms. The incumbent is required to stand and walk around work sites, and it is felt that the job responsibilities could not be met by people with severe restriction to their mobility or physical activity. Moreover, given the accent on the communication process, it is felt that it would be extremely difficult to meet the job requirements with severe limitations in eyesight, hearing or speech.
