We are seeking a Maintenance Technician III (Ammonia Refrigeration Technician) at the intermediate to advanced level to support the upkeep of our industrial cold storage facility and the essential equipment that keeps operations running. This hands-on role is perfect for technicians who take pride in precision, reliability, and compliance—performing regular testing, inspections, and adjustments to ensure every system operates to exact design and safety standards. Key Responsibilities Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on industrial refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, and building systems to ensure optimal uptime and safety. Troubleshoot and repair ammonia compressors, condensers, evaporators, valves, and controls in compliance with all PSM/RMP and IIAR standards. Conduct regular inspections, performance testing, and calibration of refrigeration and electrical components to maintain system integrity and efficiency. Document all maintenance activities and parts usage in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). Basic understanding of electrical instrumentation, P&IDs, pneumatics, and hydraulics. Strong problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills; able to convey technical details to non-technical audiences. Proficient in basic computer applications (Word, Excel, CMMS). Ability to work in extreme temperature environments (−20°F to 100°F) and lift up to 40 lbs. Flexible to work various shifts, weekends, and overtime as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
RETA, GCAP, or IIAR certifications such as CARO, CIRO, or Operator I/II are highly valued — or willingness to obtain within 6 months of hire. Why Lineage?
