- Free, confidential counseling and support for you and your family, including financial and legal resources Position Summary As part of the Tech24 network, the Refrigeration Technician plays a critical role in servicing commercial HVAC and refrigeration (cold side) equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair commercial refrigeration equipment including walk-in coolers/freezers, reach-ins, ice machines, prep tables, and related systems. Perform preventative maintenance inspections and routine service. Install and replace refrigeration components and equipment as required. Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals. Test refrigeration systems, identify issues, and complete necessary repairs. Maintain accurate service records, work orders, and documentation. Ensure compliance with EPA regulations, safety standards, and company policies. Communicate professionally with customers regarding service findings and recommendations. Maintain company vehicle, tools, and inventory. Participate in after-hours or on-call service rotation as required.Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required. EPA Certification required. Minimum of 3 years of commercial refrigeration service experience preferred. Experience working in or servicing convenience stores, grocery stores, supermarkets, restaurants, cold storage facilities preferred. Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills. Ability to read schematics and technical documentation. Valid driver s license with acceptable driving record. Ability to work independently and manage service calls effectively.Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and carry equipment up to 50 pounds. Ability to work in confined spaces, on ladders, and in varying weather conditions. Frequent bending, kneeling, climbing, and standing for extended periods. Compensation Transparency The advertised pay range for this position is $30- 45.
