US MINING SERVICE TECHNICIAN

Camfil Air Pollution Control is an industry leader in providing dust, fume and mist collection equipment. Camfil APC products provide clean air in manufacturing settings making the workplace safer and more productive. Key Responsibilities Perform on-site inspection, troubleshooting, and repair of dust collection systems including fans, ducting, and control panels Support startup and commissioning activities for new installations at mining sites Diagnose airflow, pressure drop, and system performance issues; recommend corrective actions Conduct system audits and provide detailed service reports with actionable recommendations Clear ability to communicate and interact with customers, producing detailed service reports, on-site trainings, service and parts quotes. Maintenance & Optimization Execute preventative maintenance programs to maximize equipment uptime and filter life Replace filters, valves, instrumentation, and mechanical components as required Optimize system performance based on airflow (CFM), static pressure, and dust loading conditions Identify opportunities for system upgrades, retrofits, and energy efficiency improvements Customer Engagement & Training Interface directly with mine maintenance teams, operators, and engineering groups Provide on-site training for customer personnel on system operation and maintenance best practices Promote aftermarket parts, upgrades, and service offerings to support long-term reliability Act as a trusted advisor, identifying future project opportunities Safety & Compliance Adhere to all mine site safety protocols and regulatory requirements Conduct work in compliance with confined space, lockout/tagout, and fall protection standards Promote a strong safety culture both internally and at customer sites Documentation & Reporting Complete detailed service reports, including system condition, recommendations, and parts required Maintain accurate records of service activities, expenses, and time reporting Support engineering teams with field data for continuous product improvement Education & Experience Associate degree or technical certification in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Technology (or equivalent experience) 3-7+ years of hands-on industrial service experience, preferably in: Dust collection systems Mining, aggregates, or heavy industrial environments Experience with fans, filtration systems, and industrial ventilation strongly preferred Technical Skills Strong understanding of airflow systems, including CFM, static pressure, and duct design Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, P&IDs, and electrical schematics Familiarity with PLC-based control systems and instrumentation is a plus Proficient with standard hand tools and diagnostic equipment Work Environment & Requirements Extensive travel to mining sites across North America (including remote locations) Ability to work in physically demanding conditions (heights, confined spaces, extreme weather, dust exposure) Must be able to lift 50+ lbs. and climb ladders/stairs regularly Valid driver's license required
WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to office, warehouse, and plant environments. The work environment will require the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) in certain areas. Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization's facilities.
