The Role As a Service Technician at LaundriTek, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining commercial washers, dryers, and related laundry equipment at customer sites across Phoenix and the surrounding metro area. You'll operate both independently in the field and in coordination with our service team, depending on the scope of each job. This is a role that rewards attention to detail, methodical troubleshooting, and a genuine commitment to quality workmanship. What You'll Do Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues on commercial laundry equipment (washers, dryers, and ancillary systems) Manage and execute a recurring routine maintenance route, visiting scheduled customer sites on a consistent basis to keep equipment running at peak performance and minimize downtime Install new equipment at customer locations, ensuring proper setup, testing, and documentation Accurately complete service reports, parts logs, and maintenance records for every job; provide customers with photo documentation as proof of work performed on routine maintenance visits; and maintain a well-organized service calendar to ensure scheduled routes are tracked, honored, and never missed Communicate findings and recommendations clearly to customers, building trust through expertise and reliability Coordinate with the service team on parts ordering, scheduling, and escalations when needed Manage your service vehicle, tools, and company-provided phone with care; the phone is a business tool used for scheduling, dispatch, and customer communication and is not for personal use Identify opportunities to improve service processes or customer outcomes and share feedback with the team What We're Looking For The ideal candidate is someone who: Has some hands-on experience in appliance repair, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or a closely related trade — commercial laundry experience is a bonus but not required Approaches problems methodically: gathers information, thinks through root causes, and verifies the fix before moving on Takes personal pride in the quality of their work — "good enough" isn't in their vocabulary Is comfortable working independently in the field while also collaborating effectively when back at the shop or on complex jobs Maintains accurate, organized records and understands why documentation matters Communicates professionally with customers — you're often the face of LaundriTek at a job site Bilingual in English and Spanish is a significant plus — many of our customers and job site contacts are Spanish-speaking, and the ability to communicate fluently in both languages is a real advantage on the job Holds a valid driver's license with a clean driving record, and is able to pass a background check (required — this role involves unsupervised access to customer locations) Is comfortable working in mechanical environments: bending, lifting, and working in utility spaces are part of the job Nice to Have (Not Required) Experience with specific commercial laundry brands (Speed Queen, Maytag Commercial, Dexter, Huebsch, Electrolux, etc.) Familiarity with coin-operated or card-payment laundry systems Experience using diagnostic software or tablet-based work order systems Compensation & Benefits Annual salary of $70,000 - $80,000 depending on experience Company vehicle or vehicle allowance provided — no wear and tear on your personal vehicle Company-provided phone for scheduling, dispatch, and customer communication (for business use only) Health insurance 401(k) retirement plan (eligible after 1 year of employment) Paid training and manufacturer certifications — we invest in your growth Stable, consistent hours with a company that has deep roots in the Phoenix metro market Why LaundriTek We're not a revolving door.
