Position Description The City of Tolleson is seeking a qualified and dependable candidate for a Human Services Technician (Senior Program Assistant) - Part Time position. The Human Services Technician, provides customer service and operational support for senior services programs, activities, and facilities. Greets patrons, responds to inquiries, and provides information regarding services, programs, and facility procedures. Assists with the preparation of equipment, facilities, and service areas for daily activities and supports the planning, implementation, and evaluation of Senior Center programs and events. Ensures the daily delivery and accurate reporting of congregate and home-delivered meals. Monitors facilities and equipment for safety and cleanliness, reports maintenance or safety concerns, and performs basic cleaning and sanitizing duties. Maintains program records, gathers and enters data, prepares monthly program summaries and performance reports, and assists with administrative and program-related tasks. Supports daily operations by ensuring a safe, welcoming, and well-maintained environment for patrons. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED and 2 years of experience in assigned area of responsibility; or an equivalent combination of directly related education and experience. Possess a valid Arizona driver's license, Food Handler's Card, First Aid/CPR certification, Fingerprint Clearance Card, and Central Registry Background Clearance. Physical Demands Positions in this class typically require standing, sitting, walking, lifting, carrying, pushing/pulling, reaching, handling, fine dexterity, kneeling, crouching, crawling, bending, twisting, seeing, hearing, talking, climbing, and balancing.
