Job Description

Marana is one of the fastest-growing communities in Southern Arizona, located approximately 20 minutes northwest of downtown Tucson and 75 minutes southeast of Phoenix. Dedicated Service, Respect, Teamwork and Engaged Innovation. The Town of Marana is seeking a Maintenance Associate I to work in the Streets Division of the Public Works Department. This is a full-time position and an exciting opportunity for someone interested in working in a fast-paced environment. The Public Works Department provides services that are vital to our community's health, safety and comfort.

Expected Hiring Range:
$18.76/hour
  • $22.
98/hour Placement within the salary range is dependent on direct experience, internal equity and/or budget.
Salary Range:
$18.76/hour
  • $27.
21/hour Performs routine semi-skill maintenance and/or landscaping tasks: inspects, cleans, and performs routine maintenance work on trucks and equipment; identifies and reports mechanical problems; uses a variety of hand and power tools. Provides service to internal and external customers. Performs work duties and operates a variety of trucks and equipment in accordance with all safety regulations and procedures. High school diploma or GED equivalency. Six (6) months in a closely related field. Valid Arizona Driver License. Must complete a pre-employment physical, including an audiogram, and pass a 50-pound lift test. Must complete both the Town of Marana background check and a motor vehicle records check. An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience that provides the desired knowledge, skills & abilities to successfully perform essential functions may be considered.
Preferred Qualifications:
Six (6) months of street construction/maintenance experience or closely related field.
