Location:

North Bay, Marin County, Sacramento, Vacaville, Fairfield Statewide Roofing , a premier commercial roofing company in San Jose, is seeking a Roof Repair Technician to join its team in its new North Bay location. Roof Repair Technicians are key members of the Statewide Roofing team. An individual in this position will be responsible for performing services in response to requests for emergency roof repairs and routine roof maintenance. They will actively engage with our customers, inspecting and repairing their roofs. The goal in this position is to deliver quality and timely service to Statewide Roofing customers.

Duties and responsibilities:

Report to work as scheduled, promptly, and ready to work. Respond as dispatched for emergency service and/or routine maintenance calls Provide direct support to the lead technician in the field Be able to communicate with customers as needed. Able to learn to perform required roof work tasks, including cleaning, inspecting, repairing, and maintaining all types of roofs according to Statewide and roofing manufacturer's requirements. Observe best practices and learn to understand the safest course of action for each assigned roof. Additional support Willing to support/learn data collection and input into Statewide Roofing's service software. Perform general roofing labor as needed. Provide back-up support for general yard duties. Be available to move into other types of work as needed.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma/GED and/or 3-5 years related working experience. Roofing experience is a plus. Driver's license with an insurable record Willingness to learn about general roofing practices & experience with all types of roofing: built-up, single-ply, tile, composition shingles, etc. Proficiency with basic work tools such as skill saw, drill, backpack blower, etc. Ability to deal sensitively with confidential material Good communication skills and professional manners with customers Have or will obtain safety certifications for First Aid/CPR, Fall Protection, Defensive Driving, OSHA-10, and CERTA; Operation certifications for equipment such as Forklifts, & Aerial Lifts. Positive, proactive, and professional attitude Bilingual (Spanish & English) preferred. A good understanding of how to use phone and/or tablet-based applications is a plus. Dependable with no schedule restrictions.

Ability to work full-time at 40 hours per week Availability for overtime hours, emergency response & weekend work as needed Must be a team player and perform well under pressure Able to perform physically demanding work in all weather conditions Able to work at high heights on top of large buildings Must be able to follow instructions and safety rules Must be able to travel outside of the San Jose area Physical requirements: Must be in good physical health Able to climb, lift, and handle a ladder up to 40' Must have physical strength, endurance, and work well with their hands Requires lifting heavy objects, including buckets and rolls of materials, up to 100 lbs Perform repetitive tasks for lengthy periods
