- $75 an hour 1 hour ago Benefits Flexible schedule Qualifications Computer operation Customer communication Packing Customer service Moving High school diploma or GED Driver's License Computer hardware Time management Full Job Description Overview The On-Site Service Technician is a part-time, 1099 independent contractor responsible for setting up, installing, de-installing, and servicing K-Piano STEAM Labs at partner schools.
- 75 per hour for completed service visits.
Complete Installation Visits:
unpack, assemble, and set up K-Piano STEAM Lab equipment at partner schools, including keyboards, stands, benches, and supporting technology.Complete De-Installation Visits:
safely disassemble, pack, and remove STEAM Lab equipment when a partnership ends or equipment is relocated.Complete Tech Support Service Visits:
troubleshoot and resolve equipment or computer issues on-site to keep STEAM Labs fully operational.- Open, set up, and test all equipment on-site to confirm proper installation before leaving a school.
- Configure computers on-site following K-Piano's setup process.
- Communicate visit outcomes and any equipment issues promptly to the Tech Support Manager.
- Maintain a flexible, on-call schedule to accommodate school availability and service requests.
- Represent K-Piano professionally while on school premises, following each school's visitor and safety protocols. Competencies
- Trainable, with experience setting up TV/AV or similar audio-visual equipment.
- Basic computer skills sufficient to learn K-Piano's process for configuring on-site computers.
- Familiarity with basic setup of music equipment (keyboards, stands, benches) is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail when following installation and configuration checklists.
- Reliable and punctual, with the ability to manage a flexible, visit-based schedule.
- Comfortable working independently on school premises with minimal supervision.
- Strong communication skills to coordinate visits and report issues to the Tech Support Manager.
- Customer service mindset when interacting with school staff and administrators.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professionalism, especially around students and school property. Educational Requirements
- Required a minimum of Highschool Diploma/GED Physical Requirements
- Must have reliable transportation to travel to school sites within the assigned metro area.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Ability to lift, carry, and set up equipment such as keyboards, stands, benches, and computer hardware.
- Must be able to pass a background check to work on-site at schools.
- Travel required between school sites within the assigned metro area.
- Comfortable working in a school environment, including navigating school visitor/security check-in procedures.
Pay:
$40.00- $75.
