Our Hardware Operations team is seeking a new Repair Technician to assist with building, testing, deploying and maintaining imagery hardware and sensors used on different platforms. Hardware Operations is a part of a high-profile client project that provides interactive panoramas from positions along many streets in the world. It comes under the purview of Geo Data Operations (GDO). Please note that this role is fully onsite in Palo Alto. Only local candidates will be considered. Role Responsibilities Desired Skills & Experience The employee will have an overview of global repairs, and will be responsible for refurbishing and redeploying custom hardware for the customer platforms Ensure that the disks are ingested in all of the repair centers and maintained. Coordinate with the logistics/ data operation workflow teams. Implement operational policies and procedures for refurbishment/repair activities. The Support Engineer must sync with the Tech Lead Repair center to document/publish/replicate the technical details for future cases Ensure effective and safe use of all repair center equipment Implement and lead all aspects of security operations for all of the repair center locations. Maintain documentation and keep accurate records of repair center activities. Maintain supply inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies. Maintain the Repair Center efficiency by supervising workload of functional areas; identify peak and slack periods. Ensure a smooth repair center workflow dynamic by forecasting headcount availability and work capacity for individual locations. Desired Skills & Experience A high school diploma or equivalent is required; Bachelor's Degree is preferred 1-3 years of experience in various testing techniques Familiarity with various testing techniques and great hardware troubleshooting skills Hardware troubleshooting, installation and warehouse management Familiarity with vehicle parts, computer parts , camera parts, PCB etc
