$35.00 To $40.00 Hourly This is not an Information Technology (IT) Position. Sumitomo (SHI) Cryogenics of America, Inc. "SCAI" is looking for an experienced technician with two to five (2-5) years of hands-on experience managing the testing, repairing and maintenance of electromechanical or vacuum equipment. The SCAI Service Technician role is a "hands-on" technical position that interfaces with SCAI management, and performs sophisticated in-house repair service of semiconductor components, specifically cryogenic vacuum pumps. Primary duties include (1) calibration, maintenance, installation, modification, build, and assembly; (2) identifying root cause analysis and the necessary corrective action. This position has minimal travel requirements (up to one time per year) and may occasionally require non-traditional business hours (nights, weekends and some holidays). Required Qualifications Minimum of a high school diploma/GED and a two-year technical degree; or any combination of education and experience that would enable the performance of the full scope of the position is required. Prefer three (3) years of hands-on experience managing the testing, repairing and maintaining mechanical or vacuum equipment. Prefer clean room experience. Must be proficient in the use of mechanical tools and service test equipment; a strong mechanical and electrical aptitude is required. Ability to lift heavy items (50 pounds or more). Assist with shipping and logistics tasks. Strong communication skills (written and verbal). Must be able to work both independently and in an established team setting; Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize work effectively. Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding proprietary company information Ability to pass a personal background check and/or clearance at time of hire and as required by Customers is required. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship
