Service Technician Position Perform in-house and field projects such as service, test, repair, and install electrical systems. Troubleshoot, inspect for malfunctions, and repair complicated electrical and electro-mechanical devices. Submit trouble tickets to the supervisor, complete material transfer forms, and maintain recordkeeping of hours worked on each job. Operate and maintain a variety of power and hand tools; observe good safety practices on the job site. Objective/Purpose of the

Position:

The Apprentice Service Technician at Sky Rider supports the service department by assisting in performing inspections, repairs and troubleshooting electrical components on buildings.

Tasks/Responsibilities:

• Assists in Inspecting buildings suspension devices (sockets, davits, pedestals & anchors)
• Assists in Inspecting buildings suspension platforms, work cages, roof carriages & BMU's
• Assists in Inspecting and repairing winches, tirfors & traction hoist in Sky rider facility
• Assists in repairing and troubleshooting on-site Service calls, repairs etc.
• Survey all equipment on buildings to Cal/OSHA section 3296 regulations
• Keep an active clean driving record
• On Call 24/7 for emergency rescues, etc.

Abilities:

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear
• Ability to stand and walk; use hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel.
• The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds
• Strong multitasking ability
• Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with co-workers and the public
• Attention to detail while assisting in performing inspections, repairs, and troubleshoots

Pay:

$22.00 - $24.00 per hour
