Schlegel Land Services Land Services & Fencing Technician Position Summary Schlegel Land Services is seeking a dependable, hardworking individual to assist with fencing, land improvement, ranch, and general construction projects. This is a hands-on outdoor position that requires physical labor, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently as part of a crew. Our projects vary in size and location and may include agricultural fencing, wildlife-friendly fencing, ranch improvements, dirt work, water projects, and general land management. Job Responsibilities Construct, repair, remove, and maintain agricultural and ranch fencing Install barbed wire, high-tensile wire, wildlife-friendly fencing, gates, braces, posts, and related fencing materials Assist with layout, measuring, stretching wire, setting posts, and finishing fence Operate post pounders and other fencing equipment when trained and authorized Assist with skid steer and equipment operation as needed Perform dirt work and general land improvement projects Assist with water, irrigation, and ranch infrastructure projects Load, unload, organize, and transport tools and materials Perform routine cleaning and basic maintenance of tools and equipment Maintain clean and organized trucks, trailers, equipment, and job sites Follow company and job-site safety procedures Work efficiently with other crew members and follow direction from the crew lead Travel to project locations as required Perform other ranch, fencing, construction, and land-service duties as needed Physical Requirements This is a physically demanding outdoor position.

Employees must be able to:

Work outdoors in changing weather and terrain Lift and carry fencing materials, tools, posts, and supplies Walk and work on uneven and steep terrain Bend, climb, kneel, pull, lift, and perform repetitive physical tasks Work extended days when project schedules require it Safely work around trucks, trailers, livestock, machinery, and heavy equipment Preferred Qualifications Previous fencing, ranch, agricultural, construction, or equipment experience preferred Experience operating skid steers, post pounders, tractors, or similar equipment is a plus Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Ability to safely use hand tools and power tools Willingness to learn new equipment and fencing techniques Dependable and able to arrive on time and ready to work Able to work independently as well as part of a crew What We Look For Schlegel Land Services values employees who are hardworking, dependable, safety-minded, respectful of customers and their property, and willing to do whatever is needed to complete a project correctly.
