Job Overview The Adam Project, LLC (TAP Marine) is seeking an experienced Senior Marine Electrical Technician / Field Service Engineer to join our growing team servicing private luxury yachts throughout South Florida, the Bahamas, the Caribbean, and Europe. This role works on advanced marine electrical, power management, and automation systems aboard some of the finest yachts in the world. You will work with the team and run jobs independently, work directly with yacht engineers and captains, and take a lead role as the team grows. A company work van is provided after the introductory period. Primary Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and commission complex AC and DC electrical systems.
• Install, upgrade, and maintain complete marine electrical systems, including distribution panels, switchboards, transformers, and shore power equipment.
• Install and configure shore power conversion systems, isolation transformers, galvanic isolators, inverter/chargers, battery chargers, and battery bank systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair generator systems, including Kohler (Rehlko), Northern Lights, Onan, and CAT generators.
• Configure and troubleshoot generator synchronization, automatic transfer switches, load-sharing systems, and power management controls.
• Install, program, and troubleshoot DEIF and Woodward generator controllers, speed governors, and vessel automation systems.
• Design, install, configure, and troubleshoot Maretron vessel monitoring systems and complete

NMEA 2000

networks.

• Perform electrical refits, including AC/DC wiring, panel fabrication, custom electrical installations, and equipment upgrades.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, one-line diagrams, wiring diagrams, and manufacturer technical documentation.
• Perform onboard vessel inspections, develop repair recommendations, prepare project scopes, and provide accurate labor and material estimates.
• Conduct commissioning, dock testing, sea trials, and final customer acceptance following installations and refits.
• Perform insulation resistance testing, electrical fault isolation, grounding analysis, galvanic corrosion inspections, and lightning damage assessments.
• Complete detailed service reports, technical documentation, and project records.
• Ensure all work is performed safely and in accordance with ABYC standards, manufacturer specifications, and applicable marine regulations, including ABS and Lloyd's Register requirements.
• Support marine electronics installation and integration as needed. Qualifications
• Minimum 6 years of hands-on marine electrical experience, preferably aboard private yachts.
• Strong knowledge of AC/DC electrical systems aboard yachts.
• Advanced troubleshooting skills across electrical, electronic, and automation systems.
• Experience with three-phase electrical systems and power distribution.
• Experience commissioning and troubleshooting generators and power management systems.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills with yacht engineers, captains, and owners' representatives.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to and from our Fort Lauderdale shop during the introductory period (company work van provided afterward).
• Willing to travel domestically and internationally, including to the Bahamas, the Caribbean, and Europe. All travel expenses are paid, plus a per-diem paid directly to you for overnight travel.
• Valid passport highly preferred.
