We are seeking a reliable Water Well Service Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of residential and commercial water well systems, submersible pumps, pressure tanks, and electrical control panels. The ideal candidate enjoys working outdoors, possesses strong problem-solving skills, and is dedicated to providing excellent service to our customers.
Key Responsibilities Diagnostics & Repairs:
Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical and mechanical malfunctions in water well systems, including pumps, control boxes, VFD (Variable Frequency Drive) systems, and pressure switches.
Installation & Maintenance:
Install, pull, and reset submersible pumps. Replace malfunctioning pressure tanks, check valves, and water filtration or treatment systems.
Field Work:
Drive and position service rigs and support vehicles over wellheads safely. Load and unload heavy equipment, pipes, and fittings required for daily jobs.
Plumbing & Electrical Wiring:
Perform necessary PVC and galvanized plumbing connections. Safely wire and test motor controls, switches, and electrical components related to pump systems.
Communicate professionally with property owners to explain diagnoses, outline repair options, and provide project updates.
Compliance & Documentation:
Keep precise records of work performed, materials used, well depths, and water flow rates.
Qualifications and Skills Experience:
1-3 years of experience in water well service, pump installation, plumbing, or electrical work preferred (on-the-job training available for individuals with strong mechanical aptitude).
Licensure:
Valid Class E driver's license with a clean driving record is required. A Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is highly preferred.
Technical Skills:
Ability to read technical manuals. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing equipment (e.g., voltmeters).
Soft Skills:
Strong work ethic, punctuality, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a field crew. Physical Requirements Ability to work outdoors year-round in varying weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, snow). Capacity to perform physically demanding manual labor, including digging, trenching, and climbing. Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry heavy loads up to 75-100 lbs regularly.
