Coastal Specialty Door Contractors is looking for a Door Installation Assistant to join our growing team. This is an entry-level position with room to grow. You'll work alongside experienced technicians, learning how to install and service specialized commercial and industrial door systems at job sites across the United States. If you enjoy working with your hands, don't want to sit behind a desk all day, and like the idea of traveling to different parts of the country for work, this could be a great place to start. No specialty door experience is required . Experience with construction, carpentry, electrical, mechanical work, or power tools is helpful, but we're primarily looking for someone dependable, hardworking, willing to learn, and ready to travel. What You'll Do As a Door Installation Assistant, you'll support our technicians throughout each project.

Your day-to-day work may include:

Assisting with the installation, service, and repair of commercial and industrial doors Measuring, cutting, assembling, and installing door components Using hand and power tools under the direction of experienced technicians Loading, unloading, and organizing tools, equipment, and materials Preparing job sites and keeping work areas clean and safe Learning installation techniques and industry-specific skills Traveling with the Coastal SDC team to projects throughout the United States Following company and job-site safety requirements This Position May Be a

Comfortable working on ladders, lifts, at heights, and around industrial equipment Ability to perform physically demanding work, including standing, walking, bending, lifting, and climbing Must be able to work extended hours, weekends, and varying schedules when projects require it Must meet Coastal SDC's drug-free workplace requirements Must be comfortable working in a variety of environments, including indoors, outdoors, and in refrigerated cooler and freezer spaces Travel & Schedule Travel is a major part of this position . Projects may take you anywhere in the United States and can include overnight stays or multi-week assignments. When traveling, employees typically work approximately 56 hours per week, with overtime paid according to company policy. Local project schedules are generally Monday through Saturday, although schedules can vary based on the needs of each job site. Lodging and eligible travel expenses are paid or reimbursed by Coastal SDC.
