MARINE INSTALLER / SERVICE TECHNICIAN

Castaway Marine is hiring a full-time Marine Installer / Service Technician at our waterfront dealership in Melbourne, Florida. The majority of this position will involve installing, troubleshooting, and servicing boat accessories. The employee will also assist with routine outboard maintenance, boat rigging, inspections, and other service-department work as needed.

Primary Responsibilities:

Install GPS/chartplotters, fish finders, radar, VHF radios, stereos, speakers, trolling motors, batteries, chargers, pumps, lighting, and other marine accessories Run and terminate wiring neatly and professionally Diagnose basic electrical and electronics issues Perform routine outboard services, including oil changes, gear-lube changes, filters, spark plugs, and basic maintenance Complete new-boat rigging and delivery preparations Assist with general boat repairs and service-department tasks Maintain a clean, organized work area Complete work accurately and within reasonable time expectations

Ideal Candidate:

Has marine electronics, 12-volt electrical, boat-rigging, automotive electrical, or similar installation experience Takes pride in clean, organized workmanship Is dependable, productive, and willing to help wherever needed Can work independently while also contributing as part of a team Is comfortable working outdoors and aboard boats Has their own basic hand tools Has a valid driver's license and reliable transportation Marine-industry experience is strongly preferred, but we may consider someone with strong installation experience who is willing to learn. Additional training may be provided based on ability, performance, dependability, and long-term fit. This is a full-time, in-person position with competitive hourly pay based on experience and demonstrated ability.
