About the Role We are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to join our team working under an innovative company model. You will be responsible for installing, configuring, and supporting a wide range of IT and communication technologies for both residential and commercial environments. This role requires a strong technical background, hands-on skills, and a customer-focused mindset. This is a field-based role with most of your time spent on-site completing service requests, troubleshooting, and representing Essintial professionally in the community. What You'll Do Technical Service & Installations (Primary Responsibilities) Install/terminate low-voltage cabling (Cat5e/Cat6). Set up and configure routers, Wi-Fi networks, and small business IT equipment.
thermostats, doorbells, cameras, locks, lighting. Support POS systems and retail hardware. Complete troubleshooting and most jobs on a single visit. Maintain tools, inventory, and equipment in the company vehicle. Operational Support Manage daily service tickets and ensure timely, professional customer interactions. Document work accurately and uphold service-quality standards. Coordinate with Essintial dispatch, support, and logistics teams. Assist with improving workflows and SOPs as the service model evolves. Marketing, Sales & Outreach Participate in local business or community outreach as needed. Build positive customer relationships and promote available services. Requirements:
Required Technical Skills 5+ years of experience in low-voltage cabling, networking, IT support, A/V installation, or similar. Proficiency in at least three areas: networking/Wi-Fi, cabling, smart home tech, A/V installation, POS hardware. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Comfortable with ladders, power tools, and hands-on fieldwork. Requirements Valid driver's license and ability to pass MVR check. Ability to travel locally and regionally — up to 2 hours away; occasional out-of-state travel. Ability to lift 50 lbs, bend/kneel, climb ladders, and perform physical tasks. Education & Certifications:
