Meter Service Technician I City of West Palm Beach - 3.7 West Palm Beach, FL Job Details Full-time $19.02 an hour 7 hours ago Qualifications Forklift Certification Class E Confined Space Certification Full Job Description Under close supervision, performs a variety of routine manual labor regarding water distribution activities, including but not limited to, reading meters manually and via AMR performing uploads and downloads of handheld device, meter service inspections to determine and perform maintenance requirements, clean & grade meter boxes, replace lids, test and repair meters, generate and complete work orders manually and/or with the assistance of a computerized hand held device, performs manual labor; and performs other related duties and special projects as assigned. The position work schedule is Monday-Friday 12:00 pm - 8:30 pm. Training hours will be 7:00 am-3:30 pm. Salary $19.02 hourly - Pay grade 41 Excellent Benefits! Qualifications High school diploma or GED (education will be verified using the "Education Requirements" listed below) and six (6) months of manual labor experience is required, or any equivalent combination of training and experience. Forklift certification and Confined Space OSHA certification are required; or the ability to obtain certifications within one (1) year from date of employment. A current and valid Florida driver's license is required. For application purposes, a valid driver's license from any state (equivalent to a State of Florida Class E) may be utilized; with the ability to obtain the State of Florida driver's license within thirty (30) days from date of employment.
