Big Peach Ride+Run is looking for an experienced Bike Mechanic / Service Advocate to join our team. This position is about more than repairing bikes. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys solving problems, communicates well with Guests, and understands that a great service department can be one of the most important parts of the bike shop experience. As a Bike Mechanic / Service Advocate, you'll be responsible for delivering professional, dependable bicycle service while creating the kind of Guest Experience Big Peach is known for.

What You'll Do Deliver Excellent Bicycle Service:

Diagnose, repair, tune, assemble, and maintain bicycles accurately and efficiently while maintaining a high standard of workmanship. Take Ownership of the

Service Area:

Keep the shop clean, organized, professional, and ready to handle the day's service needs. Communicate with

Guests:

Explain repairs and recommendations clearly, provide realistic completion timelines, and keep Guests informed when circumstances change. Manage the

Service Workflow:

Help maintain an organized WIP (Work in Progress) system and ensure repairs move through the service department efficiently.

BuildPrepare Bikes:

Assemble new bicycles, perform safety checks, complete adjustments, and make sure every bike is ready to ride before it reaches a Guest.

Handle PartsSpecial Orders:

Identify needed parts, assist with ordering, and help maintain appropriate service parts and supplies. Support the

Entire Ride Business:

While bicycle service is your primary responsibility, we're one team. Be willing to assist Guests on the sales floor, support events and rides, and help wherever needed.

Continue Learning:

Stay current on bicycle technology, components, service techniques, tools, and industry trends through training and hands-on learning. Work as a

Team:

Collaborate with store leadership and fellow team members to improve processes, solve problems, and continually improve the Big Peach Ride+Run experience. What We're Looking For Bicycle mechanic experience is a must. This is not an entry-level mechanic position.

Our ideal candidate:

Has previous professional or substantial hands-on bicycle mechanic experience. Is comfortable diagnosing and completing common bicycle repairs and maintenance. Takes pride in doing work correctly and safely. Is organized and capable of managing multiple repairs and deadlines. Communicates professionally and comfortably with Guests. Is dependable and follows through on commitments. Enjoys working as part of a team. Has a genuine interest in cycling and the cycling community.
