Required — lodging and meals paid We are looking for a motivated Heavy Equipment Service Technician to join a growing team in Austell, GA. This is a great opportunity for someone with mechanical experience who is comfortable troubleshooting equipment, working with their hands, and learning new machinery. You do not need to have worked on every type of equipment listed below, but you should have a strong mechanical background and the ability to catch on quickly. Equipment You May Work On Street sweepers Vacuum trucks Pothole patching equipment Off-road and industrial mowers Other specialty and heavy equipment Responsibilities Diagnose, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair equipment Perform preventative maintenance and mechanical repairs Complete service documentation accurately Prepare estimates, work orders, and purchase orders Use computers and internal systems to document repairs and parts Travel to customer or job locations as needed Communicate professionally with customers and team members What We're Looking For Previous mechanical, diesel, automotive, fleet, industrial, or heavy-equipment experience Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability Comfortable using computers and completing paperwork Dependable and willing to learn Able to work independently Strong attention to detail Willing and able to travel Someone who learns quickly and takes initiative Experience working on municipal equipment, construction equipment, diesel equipment, hydraulics, commercial trucks, landscaping equipment, or industrial machinery is a plus.
