Field Manager - Commercial and Residential Garage Door Installation

Job Description

You will help us by representing our brand through quality work. We are seeking an experienced Garage Door Installation Field Manager to lead daily field operations, supervise installation teams, and ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard of quality. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader with strong garage door installation knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to coordinate crews, materials, schedules, and customer expectations from start to finish. Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily garage door installation field operations, including crew scheduling, job assignments, and project timelines.
  • Supervise, train, and support installers to ensure quality workmanship, productivity, and adherence to company standards.
  • Conduct jobsite inspections before, during, and after installations to confirm readiness, safety, accuracy, and customer satisfaction.
  • Coordinate materials, tools, equipment, vehicles, and inventory needed for residential and commercial garage door projects.
  • Communicate with customers, sales teams, dispatch, vendors, and leadership to resolve issues and keep projects moving smoothly.
  • Ensure installations comply with safety procedures, manufacturer specifications, building requirements, and company policies.
  • Assist with complex installations, service escalations, troubleshooting, and field problem-solving as needed.
  • Track job progress, document work performed, review photos and paperwork, and report operational updates to management. Competencies for Success
  • Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on garage door installation experience, including residential and commercial overhead doors.
  • Previous field leadership, crew lead, supervisor, or installation management experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of garage door systems, operators, springs, tracks, hardware, commercial doors, rolling steel doors, sectional doors, and related installation methods.
  • Ability to read and interpret work orders, measurements, drawings, manufacturer instructions, and jobsite requirements.
  • Proven ability to schedule crews, manage multiple jobs, coordinate materials, and meet project deadlines.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to resolve field issues quickly and professionally.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills when working with customers, installers, sales teams, vendors, and management.

Full-time Pay:
$60,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
