$75,000-$85,000 annually OverviewWe are seeking a mechanically skilled Service Technician to support customers throughout Texas and Louisiana. This position will serve as a key technical resource for industrial manufacturing customers, providing hands-on troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, equipment optimization, product demonstrations, and operator training.

The ideal candidate is a strong problem-solver who enjoys working directly with customers, is comfortable traveling extensively, and has the mechanical aptitude to diagnose and resolve equipment issues in a manufacturing environment.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with industrial machinery, machine tool, CNC equipment, field service, maintenance, or metalworking experience who wants a highly autonomous, customer-facing technical role. What You'll DoTravel approximately 85-90% throughout Texas and Louisiana to support customers at manufacturing facilities.

Diagnose and resolve equipment issues through on-site troubleshooting, adjustments, alignment, calibration, and minor repairs.

Perform preventive maintenance and scheduled equipment tune-ups, including replacing guides, roller bearings, and making fine adjustments.

Conduct cutting tests and process assessments to evaluate customer materials, equipment, and operational requirements.

Recommend optimal cutting parameters, including speeds and feeds, to improve performance and extend blade life.

Support Regional Sales Managers with product testing, demonstrations, and customer visits.

Train operators and maintenance personnel on equipment operation, safety, and preventive maintenance.

Educate customers on proper band saw operation and cutting practices.

Build strong relationships with distributors, operators, maintenance personnel, engineers, and other customer contacts.

Assist with developing solutions that improve customer productivity and equipment performance.

Maintain accurate service documentation, customer information, and expense reports.

Coordinate travel and service schedules to maximize customer support and efficiency.

Use Salesforce/CRM and Microsoft Office tools to document customer activity and service information.

Participate in special projects and other technical initiatives as assigned.

What We're Looking ForRequired QualificationsStrong mechanical aptitude with hands-on troubleshooting and problem-solving ability.

Experience working with industrial machinery, manufacturing equipment, machine tools, CNC equipment, or similar mechanical systems.

Ability to use basic hand tools to inspect, adjust, troubleshoot, and calibrate machinery.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to interact professionally with customers at all levels, from machine operators and maintenance personnel to management.

Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Ability and willingness to travel extensively, approximately 85-90%, throughout Texas and Louisiana.

Ability to work extended hours when customer requirements dictate.

Ability to work safely in manufacturing environments around heavy materials, forklifts, overhead cranes, sharp metal edges, and industrial equipment.

Preferred QualificationsExperience with industrial band saws, sawing equipment, or band saw blades.

Knowledge of common metals, alloys, and metal-cutting applications.

Experience with speeds, feeds, cutting parameters, or machining processes.

Field service or customer-facing technical experience.

Experience training equipment operators or maintenance personnel.

Familiarity with Salesforce or other CRM systems.

Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
