Overview The Service Technician is responsible for inspecting, maintaining, repairing, and preparing rental construction equipment to ensure it is safe, reliable, and ready for customer use. Responsibilities Inspect incoming and outgoing rental equipment for mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and safety issues Perform preventive maintenance and routine service on construction equipment Diagnose and repair equipment failures in accordance with manufacturer and company standards Prepare equipment for rental by ensuring it is clean, fully operational, and properly documented Identify required parts and accurately document repairs and service work Assist with equipment triage, determining whether assets need repair, refurbishment, or further evaluation Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment Follow all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and company policies Communicate effectively with service managers, parts departments, and operations staff Qualifications Mechanical aptitude with ability to troubleshoot equipment issues Experience with diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, or similar equipment (preferred) Ability to read service manuals, schematics, and work orders Basic computer or handheld device skills for service documentation Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety Ability to lift heavy components and work in shop and outdoor environments Valid driver's license
Pay:
$22.00 - $30.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
