Job Description

Commercial Door & Glass Service Technician Automatic Door & Glass Specialists, Inc. (ADGS) Central Indiana | Full-time | $22-$32/hour (DOE), overtime after 40 hours At ADGS, quality, integrity, and customer satisfaction come first. We install and service automatic and manual doors, storefront, glass, and glazing for commercial and industrial businesses throughout central Indiana. We're hiring a hands-on Service Technician who's mechanically inclined, dependable, and ready to grow their skills. What you'll do: Install, service, maintain, and repair automatic and manual commercial doors, operators, storefront, glass, and hardware Perform all work in compliance with current building and safety codes Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and operator issues; read schematics and blueprints Handle scheduled and emergency service calls across central Indiana Deliver quality workmanship and honest advice, prioritizing customer safety, convenience, and appearance Perform preventive maintenance and recommend top-quality replacements over patch repairs Follow up on quotes and recalls; maintain service records; take part in an on-call rotation
Required:
Mechanical aptitude and proficiency with hand and power tools Able to read electrical schematics and blueprints Valid driver's license and good driving record (insurable) Able to lift 50 lbs and work on ladders/lifts in varied conditions Able to write clear, concise work orders Self-directed and reliable, with a strong work ethic and the judgment to recognize quality, finished work
Preferred:
Experience installing or servicing commercial doors, operators, storefront, or glass AAADM certification (or willingness to obtain — training provided) Electrical, low-voltage, or access-control experience What we offer: $22-$32/hour (DOE) with overtime after 40; company service vehicle and fuel card; paid training; medical, dental, and vision insurance; paid time off; disability insurance; 401(k) with match.
