NextLED Signs — Service Technician Wichita, KS

• Full-time, on-site with periodic travel

• $38,000-$48,000/year NextLED Signs manufactures LED digital displays and the software that drives them. Our displays operate at businesses, restaurants, venues and college sports facilities nationwide, installed and serviced through an established network of sign shops. As we grow, we are adding a service technician to deliver hardware and software service, training and support to our customers, dealers and staff. This position calls for a well-rounded command of computer hardware, software and customer service management. Service is what differentiates us in this industry, and this role carries direct responsibility for it. The technician we hire will be self-directed, organized and accountable for meeting commitments without oversight. Success depends on the strength of the relationships you build with customers and colleagues, earned by delivering service that is prompt, reliable and beyond what they expect. We value people who question the standard approach and develop practical alternatives when it falls short of what the business actually needs. What you will own Service cases, start to finish. Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues for customers, dealers and sign shops. A minimum of 75% of your time will be spent on direct service cases, both on site and remote. Prioritization. Apply critical and economic thinking to assess the urgency and business impact of incoming requests and sequence your work accordingly. Customer and dealer communication. Deliver clear written and verbal service information to end users, dealers, distributors and staff by phone, email, automated reports and dashboards, from initial case submittal through completion, closeout and follow-up survey. New installations. Configure hardware and software for new sign installations so they function as intended on the first attempt. Sign shop support. Provide installation support to sign shops, including education on the installation process, hardware setup assistance and answers to frequently asked questions. Salesforce case management. Maintain accurate, current records for incoming, open and closed cases so the team can respond efficiently and pick up any case at any point. Service parts custody. Track and report on the chain of custody for all service parts, including outbound shipments, returns of faulty components, bench testing and final service disposition. Process improvement. Identify recurring problems and automate or rework the underlying process so they stop recurring. Team collaboration. Share case and customer relationship information with the service team so nothing depends on one person's memory. Travel will be required periodically, approximately 10% of the time, including occasional overnight trips. Basic qualifications 1+ years' experience in direct end-user customer service for a product 1+ years' experience with CRM software Computer hardware and software experience, including component and software configuration, installation and service Experience with the Microsoft Office suite Excellent written and verbal communication and organizational skills, including the ability to explain a technical resolution to a non-technical customer Valid driver's license Authorized to work in the United States What will put you ahead 3+ years' experience in the restaurant and hospitality industry, particularly with POS, drive-thru or menu-board systems 3+ years' experience in the technology sector A record of improving a process, not only closing the ticket Effective decision-making and a demonstrated ability to work independently Calling Service Director Michael Caiazza directly at (316) 880-1003 to discuss the role Compensation and benefits Annual salary of $38,000-$48,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
