Job Description

RV SERVICE TECHNICIAN - JOB DESCRIPTION RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
An Airstream RV service technician can expect a somewhat mixed range of duties on a daily basis: You will be responsible for portering (operating tractor) your own trailers in and out of your specified service bay. Closely following instructions and repair orders. Maintaining and keeping service bay clean and safe (along with shop equipment, etc.). Effectively working in teams (when required). Quality checking and inspecting one's own work. Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities. Complete and verify notes on repair orders for accuracy. Follow company procedure regarding parts acquisitioned for service jobs. Servicing (repairing and/or replacing) all trailer components i.e. Body repair, Appliances, Chassis (frame, axles, brakes, bearings, tires), Structural repair, Furniture and casework, Gaskets and Sealants, Electrical 12VDC and 110VAC, LP and fluid plumbing
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
Dedication to performing high quality work Can efficiently work for extended periods of time Can perform general physical activities - Moving objects up to 100#'s Work on scaffolding and ladders Work on roofs Work in tight spaces Work above head or under vehicles Effectively work in teams Adept in Mechanical, Electrical (110vac and 12vdc) and Plumbing (fluid and LP) applications Familiar with Fabrication, Carpentry and Welding Proficient in use of hand tools, power tools and specified RV shop equipment Strong sense of visual design and proactive work flow planning Can work cleanly and safely Effectively communicate with Supervisors and peers Can communicate professionally with customers Dependability and Punctuality Ability to operate tractor and forklift - ability to safely move trailers
