Lexington, KY Job Details 22 hours ago Benefits Paid holidays Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Paid time off Vision insurance Life insurance Qualifications Moving Full Job Description Custom Door Prep Position Summary The Custom Door Prep is responsible for preparing and inspecting doors to meet company quality standards and customer specifications. This role ensures all products are properly prepped in a timely and efficient manner. Key Responsibilities Prep doors for finishing by sanding, filling, cleaning, and masking as needed Inspect products for defects and ensure high-quality finish before release Maintain clean and organized work area, including spray booths and equipment Follow all safety procedures, including proper handling of chemicals and PPE usage Assist with loading/unloading doors and staging for production Perform touch-ups and rework as necessary Qualifications Ability to read and follow work orders and specifications Strong attention to detail and quality craftsmanship Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment Basic knowledge of hand tools and sanding equipment Physical Requirements Ability to lift and move doors (50-100 lbs with assistance if needed) Stand for extended periods of time Ability to bend, reach, and perform repetitive motions Comfortable working in a paint shop environment (fumes, noise, PPE required) Work Environment Warehouse / production setting Exposure to paints, stains, and finishing chemicals Use of personal protective equipment (respirators, gloves, etc.) required Preferred Traits Team-oriented with a strong work ethic Takes pride in quality and craftsmanship Reliable and punctual Willing to learn and cross-train in other areas Benefits Health/Dental and Vision Insurance Accident/Hospital Indemnity and Critical Illness supplemental insurances 401 (K) Life Insurance Paid Personal Time Off Paid Holidays
